Since God created All Things, did He also create Evil?

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”

After the heaven and the earth were created, and while the earth was still completely empty and before anything else on earth was created, there already existed darkness as revealed above. Darkness already existed on earth in its default state. While there is record of creation of light, there’s no record of creation of darkness; darkness was already part of earth from the beginning, even before the spirit of God began to move upon the face of the waters of earth. Also, in the course of creation, there was no killing or elimination of the darkness at any point; only separation of the territories darkness from the territories of Light.

Now, in the language of the bible, spirit (of God) refers to Life, Light represents Good and darkness means Evil. So darkness which means evil was part of earth from the beginning. It was from the point of creation of Light that God began to separate Evil from Good, and naturally began the project of ‘Light relegating darkness to the background and taking over the earth. So, darkness (evil) is the default state of things, and really does not require to be created as it already existed by default as revealed in Gen 1:2 above. While it takes effort (works) to create and maintain light, the default state of darkness does not require effort, so he that is down needs fear no fall.

As governments of the world have put laws and regulations in place for sanity and safety of all its citizens, so that whoever keeps the laws does not attract any punishment to himself but shall enjoy the full rights and privileges of citizenship, so it is with spiritual laws. If you will obey principle (spiritual law), you will enjoy all the rights and privileges reserved for only the ‘good’ ones by the spiritual government of the universe, which we have termed Nature. These rights and privileges come to human in the form of Health, Wealth and Joy.

On the contrary, just as those who disregard the laws and regulations of governments, whether in ignorance or deliberately, are locked away in prison and deprived of the good things of life, so also does the Universe throw out of the realm and frequency of enjoyment, anyone who has not followed spiritual laws and regulations in their dealings and relationships with ‘co-citizens’ of the universe. This ugly state of isolation from the good offerings of Mother Nature is what man refers to as Suffering.

Therefore, evil is a necessary check. Evil is the law enforcement agent of disobedience to spiritual laws, while the state of suffering is the spiritual prison. However, just as darkness was not created but only a default state of things in the material, so evil was not created but the default state of things in the spiritual. Yes, darkness and light exist but only light requires creation. Darkness is only the absence of light, not another creation. When light appears, darkness simply disappears. This means to change a situation all you have to work on is the light. Increase the intensity of your light or reduce its intensity according to the condition you desire to achieve.

Evil is only an agent to bring about (temporary) discomfort as consequence for working against spiritual law. Unless nature is using its elements such as wind, water, fire or earth directly to deliver this punitive measures, evil cannot be delivered by a stranger with whom one may never come in contact, but by a relation or friend with whom one is constantly in contact. So, next time evil comes your way, do not blame your friend or relation that nature used, but take responsibly for attracting the evil; just like a prisoner should not blame the prison or the victim that reported his crime to the police for his woes, but blame himself for committing the crime in the first place.

Now we see that evil is not that bad. As the law abiding citizen would go about his duty on a daily basis without fear of harassment even in the mist of law enforcing agents, so should men who work by principle not be afraid of evil in the same world that his neighbor thinks is most unfair and full of evil.
